About me
Specialist knee & hip surgery
I am a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in every aspect of knee surgery, as well as primary hip replacement. My NHS practice is at Tameside General Hospital, near Manchester.
My work ranges from sports injuries to knee arthritis — including keyhole (arthroscopic) surgery, cruciate ligament reconstruction, and total and partial knee replacement.
Particular interests include cruciate ligament and cartilage injuries, osteochondral defects, resurfacing and tendon problems around the knee. I qualified in Calcutta and began postgraduate training in England in 1990.
